Kingdom Business Strategy:
Build With Father,
Build What Lasts

Most business strategy starts with the market.

  • What do customers want?
  • Where are the opportunities?
  • What are competitors doing?
  • How can we grow?
  • What will produce the best return?
Those are important questions.
But Kingdom business strategy begins with an even more fundamental one:
Father, what are You building—and how can I faithfully participate?
That doesn't mean abandoning sound business planning. It means beginning from a different source and allowing what we discern from Father to inform how we think, plan, and build.
At Building A Kingdom Company (BKC), we believe spiritual discernment and excellent business strategy belong together.

Kingdom Business Strategy Begins With Presence

Jesus described His own way of living and working in John 5:19:
“The Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing.”
For the Christian business owner or CEO, that presents a very different starting point for strategy.
Instead of beginning only with:
What do I want to build?
we learn to ask:
Father, what are You saying and doing?
And that eventually changes the question from:
“God, will You bless what I am building?”
to:
“Father, what are You building—and how can I faithfully participate?”
At BKC, we call this Presence — The Source.

Purpose Gives Strategy Direction

Every company needs a plan. But Kingdom strategy asks what that plan is ultimately intended to accomplish.
For the Christian business owner, purpose isn't simply something we invent.
It involves discerning:
What has Father entrusted us to build?
That question can influence the way we think about growth, people, customers, capital, opportunities, and long-term decisions.
Profitability and growth still matter. Healthy companies require both.
But in a Kingdom company, they serve a larger assignment.

Kingdom Strategy Requires Excellent Business Strategy

Building with Father doesn't mean replacing market research, financial analysis, organizational planning, or sound judgment with spiritual language.
It means stewarding all of them well.
A strong Christian business strategy still considers customers and markets, competitive positioning, financial performance, people and leadership, organizational structure, systems, opportunities, risks, and execution.
At BKC, we believe:
We listen and analyze.
We pray and plan.
We discern and execute.
Spiritual discernment and business competence aren't competitors.
Excellence is stewardship.

From Discernment to Practical Execution

A good Kingdom business strategy eventually has to leave the prayer room and the whiteboard and become the way the company actually operates.
That's where purpose begins influencing practical decisions about:
  • People and culture: Who do we need, and who are we becoming together?
  • Structure and systems: What does this particular assignment require?
  • Strategy and priorities: Where should we focus our time, people, and capital?
  • Growth and stewardship: How do we grow without losing sight of what we've been entrusted to build?
BKC helps Christian business owners and CEOs move from discernment toward practical business architecture through our Kingdom Reformation Process—bringing biblical truth, prophetic discernment, and market-tested business strategy together.

Build a Strategy That Lasts

Markets change. Opportunities change. Strategies change.
That's why BKC encourages leaders to think beyond the next quarter or even the next stage of growth.
Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 3:12–15 remind us that what we build—and what we build with—matters.
A Kingdom business strategy therefore considers more than financial results.
It asks:
Are we faithfully building what Father has entrusted to us?
That's what we mean by Build What Lasts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Kingdom business strategy?
A Kingdom business strategy integrates biblical truth, discernment of Father's direction, and sound business strategy to help Christian owners and CEOs faithfully steward the company and assignment entrusted to them.
How is Kingdom business strategy different from conventional business strategy?
Conventional strategy typically begins with market opportunities, organizational objectives, and desired outcomes. Kingdom strategy begins further upstream by asking what Father is saying and doing and what He may have entrusted us to build.
Does hearing God replace market research and financial analysis?
No. BKC believes spiritual discernment and excellent business thinking belong together. Market analysis, financial discipline, wise counsel, strategic planning, and effective execution are all part of faithful stewardship.
