The best place to start a discussion on God’s favor is to understand the pain of living out of His favor. It’s worse than not having His positive intervention in our lives. It feels like the world is against us, and nothing works. Our health, finances, labor, and land are all in drought and everything stops producing.

I see a shift happening between our charismatic heritage and the initiative that goes with Kingdom. At present and in the past, 95% of charismatic orthodoxy has defined spirituality as any-minute obedience to the Holy Spirit. We just need to obey… we don’t need to understand the big picture, we don’t need plans or strategies (God takes care of all that). We just need to obey the Holy Spirit and the Book of Acts will return. It’s not true. Obedience alone doesn’t define maturity; it defines a servant / slave mentality. Jesus is asking for obedience from the heart and initiative that goes with knowing the Father’s business and acting accordingly. That’s the real price tag for reforming nations. “No plan” equals no fruit beyond personal ministry. Obedience and any minute guidance is not wrong. It is where we all begin. It’s just no longer complete. The cloud is moving. Kingdom is much more than me, my ministry, my spiritual gifts, and signs and wonders. All those things are valid tools that serve a much larger purpose. The transition from servant to king is partnering with the King of Kings. Wisdom – People engaged in business (or any mountain) understand this more clearly than believers. They know God isn’t going to spell our every detail. It’s our responsibility to understand God’s purpose, share His heart and co-labor with him. We make decisions and take initiative. Entrepreneurial people naturally do this, the rest of us don’t… and have the fruit to show for it… our little. BY JOHN GARFIELD, BKC Director of Kingdom Advancement
"My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be". Ps 139:15-16 NIV Once we get saved and receive the Holy Spirit, a hunger to find our Kingdom purpose is birthed. It starts with becoming a servant who can obey. It continues as we become students of His word and exercise our gifts. It peaks when we become His friends who collaborate and co-labor with our Father. Now we’re free to undertake initiatives because we know our heart and our Father’s heart are on the same page. The Lord is pulling the curtain back on a generation of lions who are hungry to play their role in this coming REFORMATION. They are excited, they have volunteered before the Lord, and their hearts are all asking the same question, “What can I do?” Jesus wants to answer that question Himself. Before we can run off and change the world, our hearts need to know why. Our concept of what God expects from us and what He is like makes a huge difference in our level of creativity and enterprise. Obedience is not the trademark of spiritual maturity; it is an important ingredient in our foundation, but expecting God to tell you what to do for a lifetime totally misses who He really is and how He relates to people. We go through three stages arriving at spiritual maturity; Kings make wise decisions and take initiative / risk - READ ON! BY JOHN GARFIELD, BKC Director of Kingdom Advancement
One of the most exciting things happening right now is that people are being invited into the Kingdom. Both believers and unbelievers are being chosen first and sanctified second. People of all faiths and of no faith are being invited into this place of being ourselves and co-laboring with the Father at the same time. Finding the synergy and fellowship in your own business mountain cuts through every religious barrier and unites people around the themes of their heart instead of the politics and denominations in their head. Most believers carry a concept that grace is how we get saved without works. Grace is much more but it has three basic definitions or aspects. Grace is not just fire insurance for heaven, it’s a key ingredient God’s uses to build His Kingdom and bless nations through us …right now.

The biggest “motivator” for every Christian is experiencing God’s presence and power (in the church) and then getting the invitation to walk with the Father to do even greater works (in the Kingdom). The church is an incubator for new believers and it has a motherly feel. From that nurturing environment we learn to receive… forgiveness, love, healing, and eventually our identity (who we are in Christ). BY JOHN GARFIELD, BKC Director of Kingdom Advancement
I personally imagine God asking us one question when we get to heaven, “What did you do with the desires I put in your heart?” Obedience, works, miracles and serving the dreams of others are not a substitute for having a conversation with God about our own unique desires and callings. by John Garfield, BKC DIRECTOR OF kINGDOM aDVANCEMENTMuch is shifting in the Kingdom right now, with many practical ramifications in every mountain of our cultures. It is spring in America, a season for new beginnings. At a personal level, servants who have emphasized discipline and obedience are being invited to become friends and transition into God’s Kingdom with passion and participation. We are no longer imitations of Jesus, we are His incarnations.
