WELCOME new members and to ALL our COMMUNITY as we continue this series on understanding your IDENTITY and fulfilling your DESTINY. 

In our last edition entitled "Choosing Destiny" we discovered that as we mature in our RELATIONSHIP with FATHER we learn that Kings share one common phenomenon: 

WE are all CONTENDING for our INHERITANCE and PURSUING a DREAM.​

​This AUTHORITY to CONTEND comes from KNOWING our HEART'S DESIRES overlap with the WILL OF FATHER. We see OURSELVES DOING what FATHER is DOING. It is written:

Take delight in the LORD, and HE will give you the DESIRES of your HEART. Psalm 37:4 NIV

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:16 NIV

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 NIV

Eric Liddell was an Olympic runner from Britain who won a gold medal in the 1924 Paris Olympics. He was a man who had a deep commitment to the Lord and had future plans of being a missionary. In the meantime, he knew God had given him a SPECIAL GIFT to run, and he often said, "I feel God's pleasure when I run."

He spent years training for the Olympics. He passed each hurdle and qualified for the Olympics. Finally, the day came for him to run in the games that were held in Paris. There was only one problem. One of his running events was held on Sunday. Liddell refused to run on Sunday, believing it dishonored the Lord's Sabbath. He held to his convictions and brought great persecution on himself. He made a decision that even if it meant losing his opportunity to compete, he would not run. God's laws were greater than man's applause.

Just when the circumstances seemed hopeless, another situation arose that allowed Liddell to run on a different day. So often this is the case in the spiritual realm. God tests our HEARTS to see if we will remain faithful to Him at the cost of something important to us. Once He knows where our loyalty lies, He opens a new door that meets the DESIRES OF OUR HEARTS. 

GOD takes PLEASURE in seeing HIS CREATION used for HIS GLORY. Liddell understood WHY he was made to run; he used his GIFT of running to bring PLEASURE to his CREATOR. Later, Eric Liddell went on to serve God on the mission field.

Many Christian owners who invest years in their businesses will one day stand before the Lord and realize they were NOT BRINGING GLORY TO GOD while building their companies. 

God is very picky about the WHAT, HOW, WHO and WHY - the motives behind the actions: 

1) Before we ACT, we must ASK WHY; WHY are we doing WHAT we are doing? 

2) Has God CALLED us to this task, or is the real motive purely financial, or control, or prestige?

3) Are we pursuing OUR HEARTS DESIRE in a way that would Glorify FATHER; how are we treating our NEIGHBORS along the way?

It is written: Whatever you do, work at it with all your HEART, as working for the LORD, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an INHERITANCE from the LORD as a reward. It is the LORD CHRIST you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24 NIV

So WHAT has FATHER written on YOUR HEART? 

MAKE A PLAN - God guides people who move. HE can and does direct our steps, but the whole process doesn't start until we MAKE A PLAN around the DESIRES OF OUR HEART.
