There is a crisis of grand proportions in the spiritual house of God today. The moral fiber of our world has eroded. Greed, idolatry, and pleasure are the gods of our day. And it is no different in the Body of Christ.

When we begin to blend in with the moral condition of an ungodly world, we begin losing God's perspective on life. It is a dangerous place to get with God. 

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Rm. 12:2)

God has called us to be salt in a world that needs much salt. 

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men." (Mt. 5:13) 

Each of us must ask ourselves if we have lost our salt. Are we having an impact on our world? Or is our world having an impact on us? 

Life's greatest challenge is in knowing what to do. The greatest mistake in life is to be busy but not effective; life's greatest failure is to be successful in the wrong assignment.

The greatest tragedy in life is not death but life without a purpose--life with the wrong priorites.

"So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Mt. 6:31-33)

"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Eph. 2:10)

"By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work." (1 Co. 3:10-13)
